Coronado Island Marriott Resort Review

Near San Diego Bay, this snazzy hotel has rooms with great downtown skyline views. A recent renovation provided a revamped lobby with sofas for lounging, grounds with tropical plants, and a redesigned pool area with a bar where you can catch football and baseball games. The spacious rooms and suites are situated in low-slung buildings redone in a cheerful island-inspired fashion. Every day in summer and on off-season weekends, the resort runs $7 water taxis that drop you off downtown.

    High Price For Good Service

    The room was large and very comfortable. The bathroom facilities were equal to a luxury home. It is an easy ride across the bay on the ferry. However, the cost is very high. If money is of no consequence than stay here.

    Comic-Con convenient

    I stayed at this hotel during Comic-Con and I really enjoyed my stay. It is located directly across the bay from the convention center and a short water taxi ride is all it takes to get to the festivities. The staff here is incredible. They are very professional, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable with a large flat-screened TV, comfortable beds, and jacuzzi-type bathtubs.

    Great Service

    We stayed there from 2/1/07-2/04. The rooms were a bit outdated but very clean. We were told that all rooms were to be renovated by year end. Service was outstanding both at check in and throughout our visit. We had a nice view of the City skyline. Considering it is located on Coronado Island, a very good value and we will stay there again next visit
