El Zarape Review

There's a humble air to this cozy Mexican taqueria, but one bite of the signature scallop tacos and you'll realize something special is happening in the kitchen. Inside the satiny corn tortilla, seared bay scallops mingle with tangy white sauce and shredded cheese. Or perhaps you'll prefer sweet pieces of lobster meat in oversize quesadillas, burritos filled with chiles rellenos, or the original beef, ham, and pineapple Aloha burrito. No matter, nearly everything is fantastic at this busy under-the-radar eatery. Mexican beverages, including the sweet-tart hibiscus-flower drink jamaica (pronounced ha-ma-ike-ah)and the cinnamon rice drink horchata, and house-made flan and rice pudding round out the menu.

    El Zarape Review

Visited this place this evening. About 10 tables. You order at the counter from the blackboard menu and they call out your number when it is ready. Had the combination plate with the shrimp burrito, fish taco and rice and beans. I believe it was $7.99. Excellent food at a cheap price. Fish tacos a la carte are only $.99 each which is a great deal. Some other interesting eateries in the neighborhood along Park Blvd.
