Royal India Review

Experience cuisine once reserved for royalty as brothers Sam and Jag Kambo lovingly re-create their mother's north Indian recipes. Everything from the mint chutney to the smoky tomato sauce that graces the chicken tikka masala is made from scratch. Dining here is first-rate, whether it's the daily lunch buffet or the sumptuous dinners that include sizzling chili-lemon chicken kebabs, indulgent lamb korma, and garlic naan. Elegant but comfortable decor is highlighted by a carved antique maple bar, stunning chandeliers, and golden arches from a palace in Jodhpur. Don't miss the imported Indian beers, mango martinis, or desserts, including mango mousse and rice pudding redolent of warm spices.

    Royal Indian is by far the best Indian restaurant in San Diego.

    I have eaten Indian food all my life and had a chance to enjoy the food of Royal India last week for my friends birthday. I was amazed with the quality and decor. The food was very fresh and flavorful. The vegetable coconut curry and lamb korma with garlic nan were my favorite. I think Royal India is the best Indian restaurant in San Diego for the quality and ambiance. I will be back again.
