Pacific Beach/North Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach/North Pacific Beach Review

The boardwalk of Mission Beach turns into a sidewalk here, but there are still bike paths and picnic tables along the beach. Pacific Beach runs from the northern end of Mission Beach to Crystal Pier. The scene here is lively on weekends, with nearby restaurants, beach bars, and nightclubs providing a party atmosphere. North Pacific Beach, extending north from the pier, attracts families. There are designated swimming and surfing areas, and fire rings are available, as are places to eat. Parking can be a challenge. Amenities: food and drink, lifeguards, parking (no fee), showers, toilets. Best for: partiers, swimming, surfing.
