San Elijo State Beach
San Elijo State Beach Review
Campsites sit atop a scenic bluff at this park, which also has a store and shower facilities, plus beach access for swimmers and surfers. Ocean sites cost $55, inland ones $35 (800/444-7275 www.parks.ca.gov for reservations). Park for a fee in nearby lots or for free off U.S. 101. Amenities: lifeguards, parking (fee), showers, toilets. Best for: surfing, snorkeling, swimming.
