Cardiff State Beach
Cardiff State Beach Review
This beach, popularly known as George's, begins at the parking lot immediately north of the cliffs at Solana Beach. A reef break draws surfers, although this stony beach is not particularly appealing otherwise. A walk south, however, provides access to some of Solana Beach's secluded coves. Pay attention to the incoming tide, though, or you may have to wade or swim back to the parking lot. Amenities: lifeguards, parking (fee), showers, toilets. Best for: surfing, swimming.
