Omni San Diego Hotel Review

Business travelers who also want to catch a baseball game flock to this modern masterpiece that occupies the first 21 floors of a 32-story high-rise overlooking PETCO Park. A sky bridge that opens 90 minutes before game time connects the hotel and the stadium. With its vaulted ceilings and modern-clubby furniture, the lobby is simply stunning. All rooms have windows that open to the breeze, and most have views of the ocean, the bay, the downtown skyline, or the ballpark's outfield. Room amenities include DVD players and bathrobes. A stone fireplace anchors the pool terrace, where you can dine al fresco or relax on padded chaise longues.

    Fantastic convention location

The people giving this hotel low marks are ridiculous. The lobby smells like fish? Well maybe that's because top notch outpost of McCormack & Schmicks seafood restaurant and large bar is just off lobby. Gee, no payphone in lobby; who uses payphones! Very luxurious modern business persons hotel across from SD Convention Center, adjacent to PetCo Park to take in a Padres Game. Sure there is construction as this is a booming downtown area. Area is NOT seedy at all. Top choice for conventions.
