Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

Fodor's Review:

Step into the modern and sophisticated lobby with its cozy lounge spaces and wood accents, and you'll know this isn't your usual Hilton. Rooms have pillow-top mattresses, down comforters, and free Internet. The 5th Avenue Loft rooms, a boutique hotel within this hotel, are urban retreats with extra-high ceilings, tall windows, Frette linens, and keyed access; some have whirlpool tubs. An outdoor terrace off the New Leaf lounge is furnished like a comfy living room and has a fire pit. And you can't beat the location: the San Diego Trolley whizzes by, the convention center is across the street, and nightlife and restaurants are just outside your door. Pros: Good decor, upscale lofts, near restaurants and shops. Cons: Noisy area, somewhat gritty.

  • Hotel Details: 240 rooms, 13 suites, 30 lofts
  • In-room: safe (some), Internet.
  • In-hotel: restaurant, room service, bar, pool, gym, laundry service, Wi-Fi hotspot, parking (paid), no-smoking rooms.
  • Credit Cards: AE, D, DC, MC, V
