Fodor's Review:

A margarita and a combination plate speak to the soul of many a San Diegan. Pair this duo with a sizzling scene and smoking music and you come up with a gay-friendly hot spot like Baja Betty's, which offers dozens of tequilas—some quite spectacular—and a long list of potent cocktails built upon them. The salsa similarly sizzles, and can dress everything from the excellent carnitas quesadilla, filled with shredded pork, to the "flamenco" flautas, filled with a choice of shredded beef or chicken. Large portions, good cooking, friendly servers, low prices, and a party mood make this a find.
