These colorful cottages hold upscale boutiques. Cathedral Home (619/255-5861), just like its Hillcrest outpost, has fragrant candles, tall Japanese floral vases, and postmodern home accessories. Visit Sorella Boutique (619/232-9322), owned by sisters, for dresses, separates, accessories, handbags, and jewelry by designers whose labels you won't see in all the malls.
