This is widely considered one of the most romantic restaurants in Southern California, and it's a favorite with guests at nearby Hotel Del Coronado. Tucked away on a side street, the restaurant is in a former house with lots of windows, soft lighting, and an upstairs Victorian parlor where coffee and dessert are served. The more elaborate dishes among the carefully prepared French bistro menu are boeuf bourguignon, rack of lamb with balsamic marinade, and roasted salmon in a horseradish crust. A specially priced early dinner menu and two choices of fixed-price menus for $38 or $45 offer more value.
