A staggering view of San Diego's downtown skyline across the bay, 30 boutiques, and a Tuesday afternoon Farmers' Market provide a delightful place to shop while waiting for a ferry. Lavender Gift Shop (619/522-9868) stocks a sweet-smelling selection of herbs and soaps as well as vintage-inspired gifts and antiques. Men's Island Sportswear (619/437-4696) has hats, tropical sportswear, and accessories.
