A tried-and-true authentic dive just on the border of the trendy North Park neighborhood lures pierced and tattooed kids in their twenties. A wide-ranging (and very loud) jukebox and TVs screening movies or music videos are the main entertainment, unless you count the people-watching. The cocktails as well as the excellent beers come in pint glasses, so pace yourself; the police lie in wait on nearby side streets.
