Fodor's Review:
Karl Strauss' Brewing Company was the first microbrewery in San Diego. The original locale draws an after-work downtown crowd and later fills with beer connoisseurs from all walks of life; the newer La Jolla version draws a mix of locals and tourists. Beer-to-go by the gallon is a very popular choice. The vaguely German-inspired pub food here is above average.
