Fodor's Review

Get your Irish on at this family-run pub imported piece-by-piece from Ireland and reassembled in the Gaslamp Quarter. Home-style meals, traditional brews, and Irish music draw diners here from around the world. Menu classics include corned beef croquettes, Irish stew, fish-and-chips, corned beef and cabbage, lamb sliders, and—best of all—the burrito-like boxty, a thin, crisp potato pancake stuffed with savory fillings like Irish bacon and cheese. As the evening wears

on, the crowd grows younger, livelier, louder, and sometimes rowdier. A traditional Irish breakfast is served on weekends, and there’s dancing and live music many nights of the week.

First Pint of the Day

Had 2 Blacksmiths after arriving in San Diego. Bartender was Irish and the young man sitting next to me at the bar was from Ireland was well. He was watching soccer (football as he called it) and was helping my husband & I understand the game. Had a lovely time.
