Fodor's Review

Pristine fish imported from around the world and presented creatively attracts crowds nightly to this intimate Gaslamp restaurant. Take a seat at bar and watch one of the sushi chefs preparing appetizers, perhaps the monkfish liver with ponzu or some slices of tender hamachi sashimi. Table service is available inside and outside where an omakaze (tasting menu) or eight-piece rolls range from spicy tuna to eel and vegetable can be shared and savored. Hot dishes include salmon teriyaki and an East-meets-West-style New York steak. The restaurant is a favorite with Japanese visitors and conventioneers.
