Convoy Street is San Diego's hub for Asian eateries, but this Chinese dim sum restaurant stands out, winning multitudes of loyal fans from around Southern California. Instead of the traditional rolling carts, there’s a menu with pictures to help novices choose among dim sum standards like har gow (shrimp wrapped in rice paper), sieumai (wanton-wrapped pork and shrimp), and cha sieu bao (BBQ pork bun). Dishes not to be missed include lettuce "tacos" stuffed with stir-fried shrimp, Peking duck and tangerine pork chops. Service is hit and miss, but most just go for the food. A late supper menu is offered nightly from 9 to 11 pm.
