Fodor's Review:
This B&B about a mile from the Capitol encompasses two homes. The original house is a Craftsman-style home with five bedrooms, and the second is an 1897 Dutch colonial-revival home. Baths are tiled in Italian marble; some rooms have skylights, fireplaces, patios, and two-person spa tubs, or a combination of some of those features. Amber House's location has become increasingly desirable as its midtown neighborhood has blossomed this decade with distinctive new shops and restaurants, many within 15-minutes' walking distance. Pros: Midtown location, attentive service. Cons: No nearby freeway access, Capitol is not within walking distance.
