Ernesto's Mexican Food

Fodor's Review:

Customers wait up to an hour for a table on Friday and Saturday evenings at this popular midtown restaurant. Fresh ingredients are stressed in the wide selection of entrées, and the margaritas are especially refreshing. Zocalo (1801 Capitol Ave. 916/441-0303), launched in 2004 by Ernesto's ownership, has a striking indoor-outdoor atmosphere and is a popular launching spot for nights out on the town. Its menu differs slightly from Ernesto's.
