Fodor's Review

This inn is perfect for a romantic getaway, with elegant Victorian rooms varying in size, all furnished with period pieces. The three antique-filled parlors carry on the Victorian theme. The breakfast porch overlooks the town, a fountain, and mature gardens. Some suites have private entrances, Jacuzzis, soaking tubs, or firestoves. There is one handicap-accessible room.

B&B Receives Our Gold (Country) Medal

This B&B above Sonora, CA was a great surprise. Sally and Bruno are terrific hosts. The breakfast is superb. Bruno, who grew up in Paris, makes incredible croissants which are made fresh daily in the B&B's on-site bakery. Sally cooks a terrific breakfast (as my waistline now reflects). She regaled us and the other guests with fun stories. Bruno adds the one liners. If you want coffee and juice before the 9am breakfast, Sally will put a tray

outside your room. And the price is more than reasonable (our room was $110 per night). We have stayed in Bed and Breakfast places twice this price and not received such wonderful service and food. We highly recommend a stay here while exploring Gold Country.
