Leland Stanford Mansion
Leland Stanford Mansion Review
The painstakingly renovated Victorian mansion is distinguished by both the 19th-century paintings it houses as well as the home's general craftsmanship, both indoors and out. Stanford, a railroad baron, California governor, and U.S. senator, had this home built in 1856; additions were made in 1862 and the early 1870s.
