Huntington, Hopkins & Co. Store Review

This museum is a reproduction of the 1855 hardware store opened by Collis Huntington and Mark Hopkins, two of the Big Four businessmen who established the Central Pacific Railroad. Picks, shovels, gold pans, and other paraphernalia used by miners during the gold rush are on display, along with household hardware and appliances from the 1880s. Some items, such as blue enamelware, wooden toys, gold pans, and oil lamps, are for sale.
