Davis

Davis began as a rich agricultural area and remains one, but it doesn't feel like a cow town. It's home to the University of California at Davis, whose 40,000 or so students hang at downtown cafés, galleries, and bookstores (most of the action takes place between Second and Fourth and B and E streets), lending the city a decidedly college-town feel.
