This ranch-style hotel, with its leather couches, wrought-iron light fixtures, and courtyard adobe fireplace, harks back to the days of Spanish California. Some rooms have fireplaces. If you feel so inclined, you can mingle with fellow guests over beer, cheese, and crackers during the 5 to 7 PM "social hour." Pros: Close to restaurants and shopping, free breakfasts, comfortable rooms, clean. Cons: Located in a busy area.
