Fairplex

Fodor's Review:

Site of the Los Angeles County Fair (ninth-largest in the United States), the Fairplex exposition center has a 9,500-seat grandstand, an outdoor exhibit area, and nine exhibit buildings. The venue is the site of open-air markets, antiques shows, and the annual Wines of the World competition. Fairplex houses the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum (909/622-2133. $7. Wed.-Sun. 10-5), dedicated to the history of American motor sports.
