Fodor's Review

Home to the Stout Memorial Grove, Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park is named after a trapper who, in 1826, became the first white man to explore northern California's interior. You'll find 20 miles of hiking and nature trails here. The park is 2 miles west of Hiouchi and 9 miles east of Crescent City off Highway 199.
