Fodor's Review

A loose-knit collection of consignment and secondhand shops, galleries, and lively restaurants extends north of Palm Springs' main shopping area. The theme here is decidedly retro. Many businesses sell midcentury modern furniture and decorator items, and others carry clothing and estate jewelry. One spot definitely worth a peek is Shag, the Store, the gallery of fine art painter Josh Agle. For antique costume jewelry check out Dazzles. If you dig the mid-mod aesthetic, breeze through the furnishings at Towne Palm Springs.
