Jackalope Ranch

Jackalope Ranch Review

It's worth the drive to Indio to sample flavors of the Old West here, 21st-century style. Inside a rambling 21,000 foot building, holding a clutch of indoor/outdoor dining spaces, you may be seated near an open kitchen, a bar, fountains, fireplaces, or waterworks (both inside and out). Jackalope can be a busy, noisy place; ask for a quiet corner if that's your pleasure. The large menu roams the west, featuring grilled and barbecued items of all sorts, spicy and savory sauces, flavorful vegetables, and sumptuous desserts. Locals like the place, especially the bar; but some reviews complain that the quality of the food doesn't match the setting.
