Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa

Fodor's Review:

Fresh from a $30 million renovation that upgraded the entire 240-acre property, the Rancho is ready to welcome back well-heeled guests. Rooms, in two-story Spanish-style buildings that surround courtyards, gardens, and the property's golf course, were completely redone in light colors in 2007. French doors lead to balconies or patios where you can take in the mountain views. The new spa has 26 treatment rooms as well as a private courtyard with a sanctuary pool. Pros: Ted Robinson-designed golf course, fitness trails for hiking and jogging, great views from all rooms. Cons: Grounds are quite spread out, rooms are close to the golf course.
