Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa

Fodor's Review:

The centerpiece of this luxurious resort is an eight-story atrium lobby with a fountain whose water flows through a rivulet in the floor into cascading pools and outside to lakes surrounding the property. Given its size, the hotel is surprisingly intimate. Spacious guest rooms are decorated in soft desert colors and equipped with sitting areas, balconies, and marble vanities in the bathrooms. One of the resort's pools has a sandy beach. Pros: Good for business travelers, adjacent to golf-tennis complex. Cons: Not family friendly, somewhat impersonal ambience.
