This legendary resort and spa has made a comeback after a long period of neglect. The legendary desert retreat of gangster Al Capone now shines again with manicured landscaping, sparkling ponds, and nicely appointed rooms, many with private patios holding hot tubs. Although the lovely hillside setting and the opportunity to soak in natural hot springs are the main attractions, the resort also has a pleasant dining room (for guests only), a spa that offers a wide-range of treatments, and the level of privacy and pampering that continues to draw celebrities. Pros: Exclusive privacy, healing hot springs, palm gardens and lake. Cons: Not family friendly, limited entertainment and activities.
