Fodor's Review:

For a break from the desert heat, head to Knott's Soak City. You'll find 1950s-theme ambience complete with Woodies (antique station wagons from the 1950s), 13 waterslides, a huge wave pool, an arcade, and other fun family attractions. The park also contains the full-service Fitness Point Health Club, where you can take exercise classes—including water aerobics and yoga—use the weight room, or swim; day passes are $10.

  • Cost: $30, $20 after 3PM, $11 health club day pass
  • Open: Mid-March-early Sept., daily; early Sept.-Oct., weekends. Opens at 10AM, closing times vary
