A stroll down shop-lined Palm Canyon Drive will take you along the Palm Springs Starwalk, where nearly 200 bronze stars are embedded in the sidewalk (à la the Hollywood Walk of Fame). Most of the names, all with a Palm Springs connection, are ones you'll recognize (such as Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall, and Liberace). Others are local celebrities.
