Fodor's Review:

The main North Palm Canyon Drive shopping district is the commercial core of Palm Springs. Anchoring the center of the drive is the Palm Springs Mall, with about 35 boutiques. Villagefest (Palm Canyon Dr., between Tahquitz Canyon Way and Baristo Rd. 760/778-8415. www.palmspringsvillagefest.com) fills the drive with street musicians, a farmers' market, and stalls with food, crafts, art, and antiques. It's a great place for celebrity spotting.
