Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel

Fodor's Review:

Take Ritz-Carlton's top-tier level of service coupled with an unparalleled view of the Pacific and you're in the lap of complete luxury at this opulent resort. Rooms are well-appointed and spacious; tricked out with oversize plasma TVs, private balconies, and posh marble bathrooms. Splurge for the Club Level where the list of included extra amenities is exhaustingly long. Service is impeccable for all guests, as every need is anticipated. Enjoy the panoramic views at Restaurant 162', where the focus is on California cuisine, or bone up on your wine knowledge at ENO, the property's wine, cheese, and chocolate tasting room. Guests can leisurely stroll through opulent gardens, and down perfectly manicured trails to the pristine white-sand beach. Pros : beautiful grounds and views; luxurious bedding; seamless service. Cons : some rooms are small for the price; culinary program has room to grow.
