Fodor's Review:

The Newport Harbor Nautical Museum, in the Balboa Fun Zone (a small, historic amusement park), has exhibits on the history of the harbor as well as of the Pacific as a whole. There's a fleet of ship models, some dating to 1798; one is made entirely of gold and silver. Another fun display is a virtual deep-sea fishing machine. New exhibits include a touch tank holding local sea creatures and a virtual sailing simulator.
