At Chimayo, which is beneath Duke's restaurant and right on the beach, fish takes on a spicy flavor: dishes include lobster tacos, shrimp with Mexican spices, and grilled seafood. By day this is a casual place where you can sit outside in your flip-flops and almost reach out and touch the passing joggers, volleyball players, and skateboarders. In the evening the ambience is more sophisticated, as are the menu items that include beef Stroganoff and seared sea bass.

This was really disappointing. I love many of the other Culinary Adventures restaurants, but this one just falls short. First, we were seated on patio furniture that they had moved inside (never mind the fact that we had a reservation), which wasn't a great start. Then, the lobster bisque actually had some weird faux-lobster in it. For $13, I expect REAL lobster in there. Finally, the server brought us the bill without asking us if we were interested in dessert. No one even checked in on us during dinner. It was really disappointing. For the same amount of money, go to one of their other (better) restaurants - French 75, Sorrento Grill, Chat Noir, Savannah Steak House, etc.
