Others have attempted to mimic this restaurant's innovative blend of Chinese and French cooking styles, but Five Feet remains the leader of the pack. Begin with a smoked albacore salad with miso-Caesar dressing before moving on to beef short ribs with hoisin barbecue sauce, rack of lamb with curry sauce, or the house's signature whole fried catfish. Small plates, such as Montrachet goat cheese wontons with raspberry coulis, are available as well. The setting is pure Laguna: exposed ceiling, open kitchen, high noise level, and brick walls hung with works by local artists.
