On a bluff overlooking the ocean, this inn is steps from Main Beach and the surf. You can walk to the art museum, shops, galleries, and restaurants, and even the Festival of Arts grounds. Rooms have a beachy feel, and most have full or partial ocean views and balconies. Those on the highway side are apt to be noisy. Proximity to the beach makes this a good hotel for children. Continental breakfast, delivered to the room, is included in the price and Las Brisas, a restaurant famous for its view, is located next door. Pros : large rooms; complimentary continental breakfast; oceanfront location. Cons : ocean-view rooms are pricey; foot traffic on nearby public walkway can be noisy.
