Newport Harbor Nautical Museum Review

The Newport Harbor Nautical Museum, in the Balboa Fun Zone (a small, historic amusement park), has exhibits on the history of the harbor as well as of the Pacific as a whole. There's a fleet of ship models, some dating to 1798; one is made entirely of gold and silver. Another fun display is a touch tank holding local sea creatures. A new exhibit features simulated and submersion experiences through live feeds from underwater archeological sites and a replicated yacht race.
