Eric's on the Pier

Eric's on the Pier Review

This little snack bar has been an Avalon family-run institution since the 1920s. A favorite of Fodors readers, it's a good place to people-watch while munching a breakfast burrito, hot dog, or signature buffalo burger. Most of the action (and seating) is outside, but you can also sit down at a table inside and dine on a bowl of homemade clam chowder in a baked bread bowl or an order of fish-and-chips.

My Gal and I have eaten here a couple of times and enjoe it every time. What I must mention is the grilled swordfish over fries... it is the way to go. The best tasting and prepared swordfish I have ever had. It's about $10? but here's the bonus; when you get your receipt, SAVE IT. It's good for a free appetizer @ the Lobster Trap which is the best place on Catalina Island to eat, ranked #1. So get the Grilled Swordfish over fries, not the sandwich and then take youer receipt to dinner @ the Lobster Trap and get the free 8$ Poke' (A Hawaiian dish). Then you're a winnar~
