The beautifully restored California Mission-style structure, which was built in 1921 as a spring-training clubhouse for the Chicago Cubs, is now a restaurant with dark wood, white linen, and an air of formality that's unusual on this casual island. This is the place on the island for a special occasion. The menu emphasizes organic and sustainable ingredients; offerings might include scallops in vanilla beurre blanc, filet mignon, and local sand dabs meuniére. The adjacent bar, which connects to the old Cubs locker room and is filled with memorabilia, is great for an after-dinner drink.
