Cordelia Knott's fried chicken and boysenberry pies drew crowds so big that Knott's Berry Farm was built to keep the hungry customers occupied while they waited. The restaurant's current incarnation (outside the park's entrance) still serves crispy fried chicken, along with fluffy hand-made biscuits, mashed potatoes, and Mrs. Knott's signature chilled cherry-rhubarb compote. On a busy day the restaurant will cook up 1,200 chickens. The wait, unfortunately, can be an hour or more on weekends and longer on holidays (Mother's Day is crazy busy!). To beat the lines. order from the adjacent takeout counter and enjoy a picnic at the duck pond. Jump-start a visit to the park with a hearty breakfast here. There's three hours of free parking in the lot across from the restaurant.
