At this well-worn café-gallery, a kind of living room for the indie arts crowd, you can get the lowdown on one of the most diverse arts communities around. In addition to coffee and light fare, the calendar includes poetry readings, live-music events, art exhibits, and hard-to-categorize events such as Punk Rock Haircut Night (get a new do, cheap), the Knitty Gritty knitting circle, and the Left-Wing Letter Bee. The owners publish the zine Kitchen Sink.
