College Avenue

Fodor's Review:

College Avenue is the main shopping drag in Rockridge. By day it's crowded with shoppers buying fresh flowers, used books, and clothing; by night the same folks are back for dinner and locally brewed ales in the numerous restaurants and pubs. The hub of College Avenue life in Rockridge is Market Hall (5655 College Ave. 510/652-4680. www.rockridgemarkethall.com), an airy European-style marketplace with pricey specialty-food shops. The avenue ends at the California College of the Arts campus.
