Built by bandleader Lawrence Welk in the 1960s, the property sprawls over 600 acres of rugged, oak-studded hillside and is family-friendly, with abundant children's activities. The time-share property has nicely furnished one- and two-bedroom villas that include fireplaces, hot tubs, original art, and balconies or patios. Activities include Family Classic Movie Night, waterslides, splash zones, and sports. A museum displays Welk memorabilia, and the Lawrence Welk Theater presents a popular year-round season of Broadway shows such as the Odd Couple and Oklahoma.
