The punchy motto here is "no wimpy wines," and with its big, bold Zinfandels this winery nearly always succeeds. The Zins are sometimes blended with other varietals grown in the same field (this is called a "field blend"). Ravenswood also produces Bordeaux-style blends, early-harvest Gewürztraminer, and lightly sparkling Moscato. Tours, which focus on viticultural practices, include a barrel tasting of wines in the cellar.
