A huge blue Adirondack chair on the east side of the road marks the way to this willful jumble of galleries, tasting rooms, and design and gift shops set amid 9 acres of landscape installations and outdoor sculptures. The sight of brides and bridesmaids scurrying along dirt-and-gravel paths to the weddings and receptions often held here adds to the visual mix. Sometimes closed a bit early on weekends when there are special events, the gardens are worth a 20-minute stroll. The Park 121 Café is a worthy stop for coffee or for lunch. The on-site Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau office has coupons for free or discounted wine tastings in the western Carneros.
