Fodor's Review

Reprising the greatest hits of Burgundy (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir) and the Rhône (Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Viognier), Anaba tries to be all things to most wine drinkers and generally succeeds. Pinot Noirs from Dutton Ranch and Soberanes Vineyard, the latter in Monterey County's Santa Lucia Highlands AVA, are the standouts, but all the wines are thoughtfully crafted. The winery's bungalowlike tasting room sits at the intersection of highways 121 and 116—turn west at the blinking red light. A side patio faces the vineyards; if you don't mind a little highway noise, on a sunny day it's not a bad spot for a picnic put together at the deli across the street.
