The 1840s homestead of Cyrus Alexander, for whom the valley is named, is now the site of this winery known for Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a trio of Zinfandel wines, including the widely distributed Sin Zin. The standard tasting is free, but consider opting for the reserve tasting ($10) to sample the single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, the Bordeaux blend called Cyrus, and other wines. A $25 wine-and-cheese pairing is also offered. A tour takes in the winery and wine caves dug deep into a nearby hillside. The winery welcomes picnickers, and there's a printable coupon on its website good for free reserve tastings.
